See the Full Picture on Mental Health

This February we are campaigning for people to See the Full Picture on the barriers to accessing mental health support when experiencing other multiple disadvantages, such as, homelessness, addiction and re-offending.

We are specifically raising awareness around the ‘catch 22’ scenario of being declined mental health support because of co-occurring substance misuse. Often people take substances as a way of coping with their poor mental health, and being denied support when they need it the most can lead to increased distress and sometimes fatality.

If you work with people who are experiencing multiple disadvantage www.multipledisadvantageday.org includes reports and video on the PROFESSIONALS tab. We would appreciate if you would share and discuss the learning and recommendations within your organisation and networks to create change.

This campaign aims to highlight this issue and asks the public to sign a petition for change based on the following;

People facing addiction struggle to access mental health support. We think everyone should be able to access mental health support. You can help us make this happen. After the campaign, the petition will be sent to key influencers, including MPs, to ask for change.

Sign and share our petition for change below.
