About Inreach Outreach

Inreach Outreach focuses on our staff with lived experience going out in the community directly to the people who need support, giving them information and guidance on getting help through Birmingham Changing Futures Together. Our staff have been trained to go out to “crisis point” organisations, where we may expect clients to fall through the gaps in the system.  It’s at these crisis point organisations where our staff reach out to clients facing multiple disadvantage, and refer them into our No Wrong Door network.

“Being in recovery myself, I am passionate about inspiring and motivating others to engage in the support that they need to live a fulfilling life.”

I’m working to engage with sex workers to ensure that they have access to support that they need as well as using my lived experience to assist in the training of hundreds of police officers by giving talks on my experience of multiple disadvantage.  We now have excellent close working links with police who have been much more open and understanding to assist people with the right support whilst in custody, for example, knowledge around detox and rehab, as well as mental health support”.
