Service Manager

Every Step of the Way Service (ESOW)

Fixed Term Contract up until December 2021
£30,191 (pro rata £24,152 per annum)
30 Hours per week

This is a hugely exciting opportunity to lead the Birmingham Changing Futures Programme EVERY STEP OF THE WAY (ESOW) SERVICE which works with people with lived experience of multiple and complex needs in order to influence systems change.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the service is in line with contractual requirements, Birmingham Mind’s Vision and Values, Policy and Procedures, and any relevant legal requirements. Duties include working with a range of public, private and voluntary sector agencies to identify opportunities to engage and use their lived experience. You will provide day to day management of Engagement Development workers and a part-time Administrator. You will be required to monitor and manage resources within the agreed budget while ensuring value for money at all times.

Programme Coordinator

(Maternity Cover)

Up to 12-month Fixed Term Contract
SO2 Point 32 £28,203 per annum
35 hours per week
Based at BVSC, 138 Digbeth, Birmingham, B5 6DR

The Programme Coordinator works closely with the Programme Director to ensure that the programmes’ business plan is delivered across a range of workstreams including:

• Every Step of the Way
• Training for Experts by Experience
• Inreach and Outreach
• Bridging Fund
• Other areas of responsibility as the programme evolves and develops – including legacy planning for responsible work streams

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of contract management, programme coordination and delivery in a dynamic and complex organisation. You must have a robust understanding of the experience of adults with multiple and complex needs and understand how social disadvantage affects service uptake. You must also have experience in managing people with lived experience. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent skills in managing and motivating partners and key stakeholders to achieve both organisational and programme objectives and have a proven track record of staff management using performance management techniques and maintaining partnerships across the private, statutory and third sector.
