We are recruiting for Lead Workers x2 at SIFA Fireside
Full time position based in Birmingham
Hours per week: 35
SIFA Fireside works with some of the most vulnerable adults in our society: those experiencing homelessness or who are vulnerably-housed. Many of the people we work with – our clients – have complex mental and physical health problems, some have addictions, and all are socially excluded. We run a daily Drop-In service where we provide on average 3,404 meals, over 100 people given clothes and 429 showers each month for our clients.
This post will form part of a new team recruited in the event of success of a bid to provide a Lead Worker and Peer Mentor Service for the Birmingham Changing Futures Together Programme. Within the new structure, this post will be directly line managed by a Shelter Team Leader. A Shelter Service Manager will have responsibility for the team and service as a whole.
This is a hugely exciting opportunity to lead and shape a new and innovative service designed to provide intensive support to individuals in Birmingham with entrenched multiple needs of homelessness, mental health, substance misuse and offending behaviour.
As a Lead Worker you will be providing a key worker approach of support to a small group of clients with multiple needs.
